Vientiane

Et voilà, après cinq avions dont trois avec du retard mais toujours dans les temps pour chopper le suivant, me voilà au Laos avec mon bagage. Le 10 minutes pour changer d’avion au Vietnam m’avait fait penser que mes bagages arriveraient avec le prochain vol mais non.

Success, after five planes with three delays but always enough time to get the next flight, I arrived in Laos with my luggage. I thought that my luggage will arrive with next flight when I got only 10 minutes to change flight in Vietnam.

Vientiane, c’est la capitale du Laos, 250 000 habitants, donc c’est assez petit et vite fait le tour. Hormis des temples et quelques bons bars, y a pas grand-chose à faire mais très bien pour une acclimatation en douceur et comprendre un peu comment marche le pays. On est loin des pays voisins, pas trop de marchandage ici, les prix sont affichés un peu partout, et une circulation calme.

Vientiane is the capital of Laos, 250 000 inhabitants, so it’s small and quite quick to see the city. Except temples and few bars, there is not a lot of things to see but well for the acclimation and understand how works the country. It’s far from the neighbours countries, here there is almost no bargain, the price are always displayed, and the road traffic is quite.

Pour le deuxième jour, je loue un vélo pour aller voir un temple plus éloigné et un parc avec des bouddha partout, vendu comme le parc Güell (à Barcelone) du Laos. En fait, c’est trente km plus loin sur la route reliant la Thaïlande et le Laos, donc rempli de camions et poussières, bref pas une partie de plaisir pour un parc, euh sans commentaire. Une belle journée de 70 km presque avec mon beau vélo rose.

For the second day, I rent a bicycle to go to a temple a little bit far and a park with a lot of Buddha everywhere, say like the park Güell (in Barcelona) of the Laos. But, it’s like 30 km off the city on the road between the Thailand and Laos, so with a lot of trucks and dusts, anyway not a lot of pleasure to see a park, mmm no comment. A nice day with almost 70 km with my beautiful pink bicycle.
